Farewell

Good bye

“Did you ever, in that wonderland wilderness of adolescence ever, quite unexpectedly, see something, a dusk sky, a wild bird, a landscape, so exquisite terror touched you at the bone? And you are afraid, terribly afraid the smallest movement, a leaf, say, turning in the wind, will shatter all? That is, I think, the way love is, or should be: one lives in beautiful terror. ”
— Truman Capote

I Saw You Blink

Im tired and i have been sleeping for 11 hours. HOW CAN IT BEEEEE!!?
We die containing a richness of lovers and tribes, tastes we have swallowed, bodies we have plunged into and swum up as if rivers of wisdom, characters we have climbed into as if trees, fears we have hidden in as if caves. I wish for all this to be marked on by body when I am dead. I believe in such cartography - to be marked by nature, not just to label ourselves on a map like the names of rich men and women on buildings. We are communal histories, communal books. We are not owned or monogamous in our taste or experience.

Sleep

"People say, 'I'm going to sleep now,' as if it were nothing. But it's really a bizarre activity. 'For the next several hours, while the sun is gone, I'm going to become unconscious, temporarily losing command over everything I know and understand. When the sun returns I will resume my life.
If you didn't know what sleep was, and you had only seen it in a science fiction movie, you would think it was weird and tell all your friends about the movie you'd seen.
They had these people, you know? And they would walk around all day and be OK? And then, once a day, usually after dark, they would lie down on these special platforms and become unconscious. They would stop functioning almost completely, except deep in their minds they would have adventures and experiences that were completely impossible in real life. As they lay there, completely vulnerable to their enemies, their only movements were to occasionally shift from one position to another; or, if one of the 'mind adventures' got too real, they would sit up and scream and be glad they weren't unconscious anymore. Then they would drink a lot of coffee.
So, next time you see someone sleeping, make believe you're in a science fiction movie. And whisper, 'The creature is regeneration itself."
George Carlin

B I G D A Y O U T

HII. HELLO.

Yesterday sure was a big day.. by that i mean i went to big day out. Surprisingly i had a swell time I saw all the people i wanted to. But i did see a lot of interesting outfits - some where a sight for sore eyes thats for sure.

One of my favourites was Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They were amazing and everything i expected. I love everything about them!!

I also really enjoyed LCD soundsystems and Ratata they were both however playing at the same time. But never fear i say, me and my friend alex ran from one end of the festival to the other to catch the second half of LCD. It was great.

Oh, but i should add i did have a bad encounter during Die Antwood (who were NUTZ). Okay so we managed to get to the front but, it was not pretty the crowd was swaying, i had some guys elbow in my ribcage, i had some greasy weirdo rubbing against me and i was having trouble getting fresh air. Soo....as shameful as this sounds the security guard had to lift me out of the crowd (it was kinda funny)

Anywho that was my only hiccup. And i have to say my day was great.
Enough about me how was everyones weekends?

B L A C K S W A N

I saw BLACK SWAN yesterday. Might i add it was possible the best film i have seen!! One of them for sure. natalie is the best. I love her very much.

Oh god its bid day out tomorrow. I am not even excited, especially now that black keys pulled out. Damn you!!!

Revival

My bones want to be fossils;
dig into my earth and tell me
who I was before you stumbled across me.

Dream vs Reality

Meltwalls:
those little fragments of thought that slip in when you are in that place between real and unreal. those light patterns that flutter underneath your eyelids, deranged little moths with tattered wings and blind eyes. feelings that seep in slowly, that creep in quietly, that catch you unawares.

and they shroud you, and they fill you up and drown you from the inside. the air dries out your lips, the moon gives you a sickly glow, your shadow grows and grows.

Dark Fantasy

my back hurts. from shovelling kilos of mud yesterday. it hurts so much its hard to walk.

Our bottom level was like this, but no as beautiful, and not as shallow.

Lost In this World

Meltwalls:
i live in a house made of snow. my ice crystal fortress, my glittering dream. with cold hands and colder feet i sit inside, letting the soft white fluff settle on my hair and on my eyelashes. i hum songs.
when the sun climbs high it makes my house glow. it makes my house shine. it makes my house melt. my windows are melting my doors are melting my walls are melting and i am crying.

Good news the clean up of our horrendously messy house is well under way and should be clean soon i hope. Everyone has been helping even strangers and the fire brigade came to our house and used their hose to wash away the mud. Everyone is very kind

Life is pretty sucky at the moment friends. Our house is currently sinking as the water rises but we have had so much help from lots of friends to move furniture, so thank the lord. And not to mention my sister is in Cambodia and freaking out about the flooding. I wish everything would go back to what it was and that libby never left. But what can you do. Nothing.
I hope (if you live in brisbane) that your house isn't effected by the floods.
Good day my lovers

Flooding

Brisbane is going under water! I hope my house doesnt float down the river. The annoying thing is that we are stuck in noosa and cannot leave (due to roads closed) so we cant do anything about it :(. Hopefully everything will be okay!
